Building More Than Homes with Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake
Author: Megan Joy
At Chaney Cares, giving back means showing up—on and off the job site. Recently, a group of Chaney employees teamed up with Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake to volunteer their time and skills, helping hang drywall in homes that will soon belong to families in need.
These homes hold special meaning for us—not only because of the time our team spent inside them, but because Chaney also provided concrete earlier in the construction process. Seeing the transformation from poured foundation to finished walls is a powerful reminder that it takes more than materials to build a home. It takes commitment, teamwork, and heart.
We’re proud to support Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake and contribute to a mission that extends far beyond construction. Every hour volunteered and every pour made brings us closer to helping families achieve safe, stable, and affordable homeownership.
Because when we come together, we’re not just building houses—we’re helping build futures.
